It is important for schools to have access to safe, fun and educational outside spaces to enhance learning. HTI Greener Communities programmes broker relationships between businesses and their local schools, with businesses providing the funding and the workforce (their employees) to complete a project. For example, schools with underutilised space in their grounds could create allotments or sustainable biodiversity areas for the benefit of the whole school community.

Inspire

‘Inspire’ is a new peer mentoring programme to support young people brought up in areas of social deprivation, low aspirations and generational unemployment. Through providing mentoring opportunities with university students who have succeeded in breaking free from similar backgrounds, Inspire will raise aspirations and ignite self-belief and ambition.

HTI, in partnership with international authority in gender, teaching and learning Geoff Hannan, offers three solutions for the improvement of pupil/student attainment:

‘Raising the Attainment of Under Privileged Kids’ delivers the core strategies for improving outcomes of under privileged students. Teachers will be presented with a raft of practical strategies for improving performance and exam successes of disadvantaged students. Enquire here
