Anne Evans, Chief Executive
Anne joined HTI as Chief Executive in 1996. She has wide-ranging experience of leadership and management in the public, private and voluntary sectors.
She has contributed to a number of think tanks and task groups which have driven policy for leadership in UK education. Currently she sits on the Education and Employers Taskforce and JACQA’s Wider Reference Group. She is a trustee of the Teaching Awards Trust and chairs the Midlands panel. She has a regular leadership column in the weekly magazine ‘SecEd’.
Anne was awarded an OBE in the Queen’s Birthday Honours list 2007, for her services to education, specifically at the interface between business leaders and school leaders. She contributes to national conferences about educational leadership and business engagement.
Mike Giddings, Finance Director and Deputy Chief Executive
Mike joined HTI as Finance Director in 2003.
Mike qualified as a certified accountant with Grant Thornton in 1991, and has been involved with the education sector for the past 10 years. Mike worked as the Head of Finance for the forward-thinking Corby City Technology College for 6 years. He worked closely with the DfES/Robson Rhodes to update and improve the financial reporting systems for independent schools, and was an active member of the CTC Finance Directors group. In 2000 he became a Director of GOAL plc, a company that was created to improve pupil assessment within schools through the use of ICT delivered programmes.
Mike is Deputy CEO of HTI and acts as Company Secretary on behalf of HTI Trustees.
